Location, Location, Location - Nottingham City Transpot
Title remind you of anything? Location, Location, Location, a channel 4 programme, where Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer, help house buyers find their perfect home in the perfect location, buyers have to take into consideration prices, residential area, family, friends and the ups and down to the property and location...but away from the TV programme, their is a logical reason behind the title, the reason being is that Nottingham City Transport are soon to be moving from Lower Parliament Street after 80 years to just up the road to Carlton Road, where the castle college is located.
After a long 25 year of searching, Nottingham City Transport besides Henry Boot Development Ltd has finally route the perfect location to relocate Nottingham City Transport Depot (hence the title Location, Location, Location). Nottingham City Transport has signed an agreement with Henry Boot Developments Ltd for the extensive re-development of the bus company site on Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham. The site has long been seen as a linchpin in the City’s Eastside Development aspirations and this proposal will open up the site for mixed development use complimenting the ice arena and other developments in the area. The deal will see Nottingham City Transport relocate to within a mile of the existing depot to a brand new purpose built facility at the old college site on Carlton Road, owned by Carlton Road Development Ltd.
