Improved Clifton bus services - Nottingham City Transport

Due to Nottingham City Transport deciding to withdraw their Skylink Nottingham route which served Nottingham Friar Lane - Trent Bridge Train Station - Clifton - Pegasus Business Park - East Midlands Airport.
It has been confirmed that Nottingham City Transport are set to make further changes to enhance its network of high frequency to Clifton bus services after they have confirmed the withdrawal of the Skylink Nottingham Servie.
Nottingham City Transport have given an inside look about some of they postitive changes that they will be seeing to their Clifton bus routes, the inormation below is what they have said will be improved:

  • Buses between Clifton (Fabis Drive), Wilford, Trent Bridge and the City Centre will be increased to run every 7/8 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes (currently every 10 minutes)
  • Unilink 4 will continue to run from every 8 minutes during term-time to provide up to 16 buses an hour to the City Centre from Clifton NTU.
  • South Notts 1 will be increased to run generally every 15 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes between Gotham and Nottingham via Clifton Pastures and Clifton NTU. (doubled frequency, currently every 30 minutes)
  • New early morning buses arriving in the City Centre every day for people getting to work and connecting on to other services
  • Sunday daytime buses on South Notts 1 between Clifton Pastures, Clifton NTU and the City Centre will be increased to run every 30 minutes, (doubled frequency, currently every hour)
  • On Monday to Saturday evenings, buses between Gotham and Nottingham will run every 30 minutes, with later departures running through to East Leake and a new midnight departure from the City Centre (doubled frequency, currently every hour and last bus is just after 11)
  • New Night Bus N1 will operate every hour between Clifton Pastures, Clifton NTU and the City Centre on Tuesday to Sunday mornings, to replace Skylink through the night. (new service to replace Skylink through the night, ideal for NTU students going home after night in the town)
  • Additional journeys will operate from the City Centre in a morning to provide extra capacity for pupils travelling to the Wilford Lane Schools.
